About the Journal
The Journal of Business and Finance Research is a new refereed academic journal of the business disciplines. The Journal targets the broad area of research work in the field of management, finance, accounting and other business related fields. The first issue of the Journal was published in the Spring of 2009.
Hampton University School of Business
Hampton University, a distinguished institution of higher education, is located in Hampton, Virginia. The university was established in 1868. It is a privately endowed, co-educational, nonsectarian institution of higher education accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The School of Business enrolls about 1,100 undergraduate and 180 graduate students and has a highly qualified full-time faculty of 36, 80 percent of whom have earned their doctoral or terminal degree. The mission of the school is to prepare students for positions of leadership and ownership in a global society. The School has instituted a very successful five-year MBA program with emphasis on character and leadership building. The School of Business seeks to promote, among faculty and students, the value-creating attitudes associated with entrepreneurship, an uncompromising commitment to the highest ethical standards, and recognition of the benefits diversity brings to the work place.
